Contractors All-Risk Insurance

This policy is specially designed to cover the loss or damage to predominantly civil engineering construction projects, that are under construction. It is an ‘All Risks’ insurance to indemnify the insured party/parties against unforeseen and sudden physical loss or damage which might affect the property insured during the period of insurance.

This policy also enables the contractor or employer to comply with the insurance requirements of the contract and can be issued on a project by project basis or as an annual policy covering multiple projects in a year.

Examples of projects covered include dwelling houses, multi-storey buildings, business premises, offices, warehouses, hospitals, schools, theatres, factories, bridges, canals, drainage, roads, railways, airport, etc.

Erection All-Risk Insurance

Erection All Risks policy is commonly sought by contractors when they are awarded contract jobs for erection, installation, testing and commissioning work for electromechanical equipment (e.g. gas plant, transformers boilers, chemical or steel industry).

Any loss or damage to projects that involve erection/installation of plant, machinery and equipment is covered by this policy; ranging from erection of a single machine to a large power plant.

It protects a contractor or employer against physical loss or damage to the contract works, construction plant and equipment or machinery. It also includes cover for physical harm and damage to property belonging to third parties.

The policy can be issued on annual basis covering multiple projects in a year or a specific project.

Electronic Equipment Insurance

Machinery Breakdown Insurance

Machinery Insurance is important for everyone operating a technical plant or machinery, whether they are large industrial enterprises or small firms, as unexpected damage to machinery and equipment can deter the progress of a company’s projects.

This policy covers the breakdown of plant, machinery and mechanical equipment. The policy is designed to indemnify the insured against damage to the machinery caused by breakdown, principally from sources within the machinery.

This policy covers a diverse spectrum of machines and equipment in commercial and production facilities, such as:

  • Power generating units (boilers, turbines, generators, gas turbines, etc.)
  • Power distribution plant (transformers, high- and low-voltage switch-gear, etc.)
  • Production machinery, plant and equipment (electric motors, compressors, pumps, gear boxes vessels, reactors, etc.).

This policy is to support your property insurance, this insurance is often not granted on a standalone basis.

Third-Party Liability Coverage is usually required and included on a limit selected by the contractor or principal (as stipulated in the project contract).

Examples of projects covered include dwelling houses, multi-storey buildings, business premises, offices, warehouses, hospitals, schools, theatres, factories, bridges, canals, drainage, roads, railways, airport, etc.

  • specially designed to cover property damage and third-party injury or damage claims, the two primary types of risks on construction projects
  • protection for all parties on a project, regardless of the type of damage to the property or who caused the damage
  • Optional extensions to cover strikes, riots and civil commotion

Claims Process

1. Download and fill out a claim form.

2. Submit the claim form along with the complete documentary requirements online to ccare@axamansard.com or to the nearest AXA Mansard Office.

3. AXA Mansard will confirm the approval of your request through e-mail or a call.

4. Claim will be settled and received via your preferred channel as indicated in the e-mail or call.
