Eligibility
Startups, Founders, Innovators applying for AXA’s insurance innovation accelerator program must:
- Have innovative solutions that align with the program’s theme and focus areas across AXA Mansard’s value chain.
- Have a prototype or MVP (minimum viable product) that has been tested with potential customers.
- Have a clear value proposition and differentiation from existing solutions in the market.
- Be incorporated as a legal entity in Nigeria.
- Be willing to commit up to 6 hours weekly for the duration of the innovation exchange program.

- From Payer to Preventive Partner
We are looking for solutions that enable AXA to anticipate risks, influence behaviour and reduce the frequency or severity of claims. This directly aligns with AXA’s broader shift toward prevention and its ambition to move from payer to partner. - Transform Insurance with AI
We are looking for practical AI solutions that improve productivity, reduce operational friction, accelerate decisions and make insurance simpler and more accessible for customers. This aligns strongly with AXA’s current push to scale AI across operations, claims, underwriting and customer experience. - Reinvent Insurance Products & Business Models
We are looking for innovative products and business models that create new sources of profitable growth, address emerging protection gaps and make insurance more relevant, accessible and responsive to changing customer needs. AXA Mansard’s existing Innovation Exchange already identifies new insurance models and products as a focus area, including usage-based and IoT-based offerings.
The program runs for 8-10 weeks
At least one founder/designee should be available for the session.
We work only with startups that have an MVP. We will be happy to have you participate in the program
once you have built your MVP.
Stage 1: Your application will be reviewed to confirm your suitability for the program.
Stage 2: Shortlisted startups will be invited to a panel interview.
Stage 3: Final 5 to be admitted in the program will be selected and admitted in the program.
