Information Risk Management and Control Analyst

To enhance and fortify the company’s policies on operational, emerging, information, and internal control risks, and to establish a uniform framework for systematically identifying, assessing, mitigating, reporting, monitoring, and managing significant risks. Additionally, to assist in daily processes that keep management informed about new issues and the evolution of risks

Role Qualification:

Academic/Professional:

  • Degree in Economics, Social Sciences or Business Administration or any related discipline from a reputable Tertiary Institution

Work Experience: 5+ Years of applicable experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with relevant internal stakeholders for the implementation of risk management framework and related standards
  • Establish and manage report to encourage transparency in information risk activities, projects, and initiatives
  • Create a fluid relationship with local risk correspondents (1st line of defense and entities risks managers) to receive the alerts of new risks, controls failing, activity change and new projects
  • Increase partnership with business units by regular participation in committees and projects
  • Coordination with other risk-related functions in the 2nd line of defense: Compliance, Legal, Tax, Data Privacy, Information Security, Business Continuity, etc.
  • Challenge the Information and Information Security policies, instructions, and guidelines, to ensure consistency with regulation, information risk framework and risk appetite framework
  • Conduct Regular trainings to local correspondents and management to increase risk awareness.
  • Report to senior management, external and internal auditors

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Risk Management & Corporate Governance
  • Good knowledge of insurance products offerings (development, dependencies, features etc.)
  • Strategic, critical and analytical thinking and pragmatic problem solving
  • Good organizational, analytical and research skills
  • Ability to interact and elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including management, clients, other departments, and vendors
